    Add another field

Post  samhale on Wed Jun 06, 2007 2:36 pm

Does anyone know how to add another field, but this the user can see by the variable $points, but they cannot edit. IE. they do not see this when they register, but on main.php I can use the variable to display what they have. Also the default value would be 20.

    Kind Regards,

just trying to understand what you want...

you want to add a new field that the user doesn't enter when they register, but when they register, a value of '20' is entered into the database?

if you have some experience in php you can try to model this after $userlevel or $time or one of the other variables that are entered when a user registers, but the user has no control over its value when registering.

if php is new to you, let me know if i understand just what youre trying to do, and ill try and help you through it.

in the end, the universe tends to unfold as it should...

Also note that it is your responsibility to die() if necessary.
